Amy Schmidt
CEO & PresidentAmy grew up in rural Wisconsin and learned the value of hard work and integrity at an early age. She is the oldest of three sisters and the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family so babysitting was her first job, but by the age of fifteen she was earning a paycheck waitressing.
She met her husband Dan at Milwaukee School of Engineering, and now have been married for over 33 years. They have two adult children and two granddaughters.
Despite several work-related moves including a four-year stint in Germany, Amy worked in several mechanical design and engineering jobs for the first half of her career. In 2007, after another move Amy found her way into the construction industry. Now, with more than 16 years of building material, building code and policy experience, Amy thrilled to be embarking on a new role as CEO and President of Nest Solutions.
